Swap a wall for a French door
The challenge was there was a disproportionately large, dark utility room in the middle of the home. Tearing out a wall, reconfiguring a closet, and adding a French door did the trick to carve out the much-needed and valuable space. While enjoying the view, the space has become a favorite cozy spot to start the day with a cup of coffee or end the day over a glass of wine.
The juxtaposition of two natural materials when warm, vintage rattan meets cool stone
is a match made in heaven! Custom upholstery is the cherry on top.

I opened a wall and designed this display shelving that transformed the dark, gloomy hallway into an open-airy space that added natural sunlight and beautiful views of lush vegetation. What a huge improvement. Don't you agree?

Draw Inspiration from nature
An essential element of this design is how the inside palette and the outdoor landscaping work in unison, creating a serene, open, light-filled space. Local dune flowers and palm trees inspired the color palette.
